Hello Again,
It feels as if it was only yesterday we were chatting about how amazingly adorable our little Lucille is... and I must agree with you, you're right. There I said it, happy?! YOU'RE, RIGHT!... um, so anyway, Lucie Pie as you have been noticing from her chunkier pictures, has been gaining weight. Tonight Lucie-Lyn weighed in at 2040 grams equaling a lovely 4 pounds 8 ounces. I even noticed tonight that she is starting to get delicious neck rolls and elbow rolls :D soooooooooooo sweeeeeet.
In other news, Lucie has received her first vaccine today. Our poor girl has a little bandaid on her thigh to prove it. She is still at 38 mL every three hours and is breathing at 22% on Nasal SIMV!!! Lucie Bear took a break from her Nasal SPONT this morning and is now switching on and off for every six hours between the two settings to help her rest a little after having done such an amazing job. The doctors do a good job of pushing her, but knowing when to let the little chunk take a break. In fact, when she is on the Nasal SIMV she is at 22% O2 (remember you and I breathe at 21%) and the entire time we were there, she had no Brady's or desats.
We are grateful that everything is still going well and that our sweet Lucie is growing more and more. We couldn't be more excited and blessed to be a part of her life. Please continue to pray for us to have rest both mentally and physically. We love you all and are so blessed by your prayers and support.
