Happy Saturday!
Lucie had a lovely day filled with lots of diaper changes, lots of practicing with the bottle and lots of visitors. She had fun getting to visit with Judy and Anthony and even got to say a quick hello to their eldest son, Ethan!
Lucie-Lyn got to wear her first pair of jeans, and oh my goodness she looked adorable :). Her nurse during the day, Liz, told us to take her for a walk around the NICU so she could say hi to all her nurse friends in her cute outfit. It was fun to walk around with her and not have her connected to the monitors or oxygen. She still gets low flow respiratory support at 0.025L/ minute, it's really just to give her a boost, so it was ok to have her disconnected for a little bit while we walked around. She handled it like a champ and is working little by little every day to be completely weaned off of the support. We're getting there, one day, one gram, one mL at a time. Liz also shared a picture with us from the other day when Lucie was given a little break with no tubes around her face at all:).
