Lucie Update- Apr 8, 2015

The day has finally arrived!   She's home!

Today would have even been her due date; we're so grateful that she was actually able to come home on this  day!  We realized that it's also her 111th day of life, aannnd she weighed 1lb, 11oz at birth!  How cool is that? (The nurses said we should play those lotto numbers, lol!)

We woke up at 630am and called the NICU to see how Lucie's night went and were told by the nurse that she did great!  We knew if that was the case, then our pediatrician would give the okay for Lucie to be discharged!

We went for a breakfast date, then called the NICU again around 830am and learned that the pediatrician had just been to see Lucie and had cleared her to COME HOME!! We were told to come by to get her after 1pm.

All morning we kept talking about how excited we were to be bringing Lucie home, and when it happened it was even better than we could have imagined!

Just before we left to the hospital we received a package in the mail from Lucie's Abuela with a handmade dress which was perfect to bring her home in! At the hospital we took Lucie around to say goodbye to all of her friends, and then we headed  home!

Since getting home, Lucie's met her new BFF, Bess, she's taken a bottle and napped. We're so thrilled to have her home!  We have to say thank you so very much for your support and prayers throughout this time! We'll definitely keep posting updates, maybe not daily, but frequently :)! Pray for our first night! Woohoo!

We love you all!
