Lucie Update- Dec 17, 2014

Before we say good night,

Thank you all for your prayers and support from afar. Just a couple of small updates for you about our mostly boring day which is obviously a praise in itself.

The baby is monitored twice a day and both times it came with great results! What should take 20 minutes each ends up taking an hour or two only because the baby is SUPER active, moves around a lot, and has such a strong heart beat!  Hopefully this can be done in 20 minutes or so next time :)

We've had little to zero contractions today which has been great. The nurses today, even the new one, have been great and supportive for Drea and me.

Yesterday during the sonogram, they did notice some extra fluid in the womb and said this could be due to two reasons. One, could be due to an infection which they have continued to rule out but are monitoring so please continue to pray. Two, could be digestive or bladder issues with the baby. After they looked closely with the sonogram yesterday the doctor ruled that out and the baby looks great! The doctor said: "it's remarkable that all is so in order with the baby". We forgot to mention that yesterday, so we wanted to keep everyone in the loop on that so please keep praying that there'd be no infections inside the womb or out (UTI, etc.).

Our friends were so kind to set up a Google doc for those of you who have been mentioning visits and sending meals.  Here's the link if you'd like to sign up!  You can add your name to the calendar and what time of day you'd like to come by or what meal you'd like to bring/ send as mentioned in my hobbit quote before! This will help a ton with coordinating but please just text me to confirm that it's still a good time for visitors before you head over.

Just so you know, we will be posting once a day at the end of the day. We realized there is just so much going on in the morning it takes almost two hours to compose with all the interruptions.

Love to all and cannot thank you enough for the love and support in emails and texts, it gets us through the day.
