Lucie Update- Jan 31, 2015

Dearest Friends and Family!

Sorry about missing an update last night!  We got home late from the hospital after a sweet visit with Lucille and we were sooooo tired, so we didn't put an update together.

Lucie had a great day yesterday and today.  She started to receive medication (two diuretics) to help with her respiration and to hopefully help continue to wean her off of the ventilator.  She is gaining weight, tolerating feeds and maintaining strong vitals.  All pretty boring and great!

Some of our sweet friends that we've known since we moved to NYC got Lucie the cutest hat, and just a week ago she was too small for it to fit around her head, but now she's rocking it like a pro.  Check it out, I just love how big the bow is!

I was able to get some great Kangaroo Care time in with Lucie Pie last night and tonight Rob did too.  It's honestly just such a wonderful and peaceful feeling to stop everything, and get to sit and hold her like that.  Robby even dozed off for a second when he was holding her tonight.  When we came in last night we saw this adorbale decoration on Lucie's isolette that one of the nurses made commemorating her turning 6 weeks old, check it out below :)

Thank you all for your continued prayers for Lucie-Lyn, for her brain bleeds to resolve and for her to continue to grow fat and happy.  And thanks so much for praying for Mateo as well.  His surgery went well and his mom told us he is resting and recovering.  We're praying that he has no complications and that the surgery worked to correct the issue in his heart.

Love to you all!

The first three pictures are from last night and the last two are from tonight.
