Wow, thank you all for the great advice on how to help with Lucie's congestion! Being home today was so great. All Lucie did was eat, cry, sleep, cough, snort, pee and poo... But it was marvelous. The normalcy of caring for a baby in your own home is bliss, even though she wasn't always happy because she's still not feeling all that great.
Oh yeah! And Lucie did something pretty exciting today... It could have been a total fluke/ one time thing for now, but when she was on her tummy earlier, she was not happy about it, and so she just flipped over to her back and went back to her happy self! She flipped!! Although she's almost 20 weeks old, she's considered 4 weeks corrected and we are supposed to track her development according to her corrected age, so that was exciting to see her roll over from her tummy to her back for the first time, since that milestone is one you don't really start to look out for usually until about 8 weeks. Some time in the next month the Early Intervention Therapy team is going to come observe Lucie so they can make recommendations for any physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, etc, that she may benefit from as she reaches more and more developmental milestones. We're looking forward to the many exercises we can learn from them to help her with too. Hopefully we'll hear from them by June.
So, other than our sweet tempered girl having a tough time with her congestion, coughing, and reflux, we had a pretty good first full day back home.
Saying thank you isn't enough, but thanks so much for your continued support.
