Lucie Update- Mar 12, 2015 - 12 Weeks Old

Pardon our dust... Literally! Over the last two days we've had some work finally completed in our apartment and it left fine dust EVERYWHERE! Eek! We've had to clean it up each night and at the same time try to rest up, especially Rob, since he has a cold.

We just wanted to share some fast updates tonight and then we should be back with more of what you're used to tomorrow.  As of yesterday, Lucie was considered 36 weeks gestational age, while today, her chronological age is now 12 weeks!  Lucille almost took the whole bottle again with us last night, and she weighed 2,495 grams or 5lbs, 8oz!!  She also graduated from "bubble" C-PAP, to "High-Flow".  She's still getting oxygen through the nasal prongs but is now doing all the work of inhaling and exhaling each breath on her own. Before this, all other forms of support would keep her lungs slightly open so that she wouldn't have to do as much work inhaling.  We're so thankful for her progress and so proud of all her hard work. She is so amazing and so inspiring to us.  We hope you enjoy the super cute pics from last night and we'll let you know how she did tonight in our update tomorrow.  We're heading over to see her now, a bit later than usual! Night!

xo!
